The worldwide release date of “ULTRAMAN: RISING”, a CG animated feature film co-produced by Tsuburaya Productions and Netflix, has been set for June 14th (Friday). New visuals and comments from director Shannon Tindle and co-director John Aoshima have arrived.

Ken Sato, a star baseball player, has another role as the superhero ” Ultraman ” who protects the earth. The sudden appearance of a powerful monster, Gigantron, disrupts the peaceful daily life. Ken becomes Ultraman and takes on the fight, but the approaching monster’s attacks intensify. Meanwhile, Ken finds himself in an unexpected situation where he is entrusted with caring for a “baby monster,” the child of his nemesis.

As he struggles as a new father, he comes face to face with his estranged relationship with his father and the true meaning of being an Ultraman. Tyndall was the original idea and character designer for the Academy Award-nominated “KUBO: The Secret of the Two Strings” (2017), and Aoshima was the story artist for the same work.

They said, “We have done our best to create a story many people will enjoy. ULTRAMAN: RISING is a movie that everyone can enjoy. It’s about family, identity, and finding balance in a world full of madness. It’s a fun, action-packed entertainment piece depicting the struggle for one’s sake,” he said confidently.

The newly released visual depicts Ultraman flying through the city and a baby monster riding on his back. Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), which has worked on famous Hollywood blockbusters, is responsible for CG animation production. In the Japanese dubbed version, Yuki Yamada plays the role of Ken Sato.

This work is also attracting attention. I can’t wait to start streaming! Director Shannon Tindle & Co-Director John Aoshima: “Our team has done our best to create a story that will be enjoyed by as many people as possible, both fans of this iconic character and those who aren’t. It is a fun, action-packed entertainment about family, identity, and the struggle to maintain balance in a world full of madness. What happens when a gigantic superhero rediscovers the power of family thanks to a cute, 5-foot-tall baby monster that breathes fire? Please watch this with your loved ones and friends this June.”
