The full-scale mystery game “Arne’s Case Files” has been decided to be made into a TV anime. The announcement was made today, November 6th, to coincide with the 7th anniversary of the game’s release.
“Arne’s Case Files” was created by the game production team Harumurasaki and began distribution on the serialized game distribution site Game Magazine in November 2017. It is a full-scale mystery in which the mismatched buddy duo of Arne Nointator, a legendary vampire who runs a detective business in a city where strange creatures live, and Lynn Reinweiss, the daughter of a prestigious aristocrat and whose hobby is “vampire otaku,” get to the bottom of bizarre and mysterious cases.
When the first episode of the game started to be distributed, it became a hot topic among game commentators such as Kiyo, whose main characters are us! A comic version by Ina Utsuho has been serialized in Monthly Comic Gene (KADOKAWA) since November 2018. Along with this announcement, a comment was received from Murasaki, the original author in charge of the scenario and production. Harutaro, responsible for the original work illustrations, sent a congratulatory illustration.
Murasaki will also be involved in the anime as the series composer, while Harutaro will work on the character designs. Further details about the anime, such as the broadcast schedule, will have to wait for further announcements.
Comment from Murasaki (original author): “Arne’s Case Files” is being made into an anime! This is such a happy occasion! Wa-shoi! I can’t wait to see Arne, Rin, and the others in action on the new anime stage! We have been blessed with many miraculous connections that have allowed us to reach this point. I want to express my sincere gratitude to all those involved in “Arne’s Case Files” and those who have supported us. A big dream has come true. From here on, we will work harder than ever to make it even more exciting! (c) Harumurasaki (Game Magazine/Baka) “Arne’s Case Files”
