MIXI announced that it will begin streaming a Spanish-dubbed version of the anime of the same name, produced as part of its media mix project “Linkai!”, in December 2025.
In conjunction with this, the project will be exhibited for the first time at “MANGA BARCELONA,” Spain’s largest Japanese cultural event, held in Barcelona from December 5th to 8th. “Linkai!” is a project that aims to promote the appeal of Keirin and invigorate velodrome tracks nationwide by creating characters based on female keirin racers who call their home tracks across the country.
The anime, which began airing in April 2024, is set in the world of women’s Keirin and is a coming-of-age story of young racers racing at full speed for their dreams and their teammates, depicting the sport’s intensity and the racers’ struggles and growth. Chief Producer Hiromi Uno reflected on the positive response at the 2024 Japan Expo in France, saying,
“The response was greater than we expected, with many visitors already familiar with ‘Linkai!’ and showing interest in Keirin.” He then explained the reason for exhibiting in Spain in conjunction with the release of the dubbed version, saying, “We want local people to experience the essence of this work, which is to convey the appeal of Keirin through anime.”
Furthermore, Uno stated that merchandise is planned for release in mainland China this year and expressed his enthusiasm to continue “creating synergy between sports and entertainment globally.” While MIXI is known as the operator of “Monster Strike,” in recent years, it has focused on betting services, including the Keirin and Auto Race betting service “TIPSTAR,” as part of its “sports business.”
