It has been announced that the second season of the TV anime series “Wakyo Battery” will be broadcast in 2027. In addition, the first teaser visual and footage for the second season have been released.

“Burning Battery” is a manga by Eiko Mikawa currently being serialized in Shueisha’s “Shonen Jump+.” Its popularity stems from the protagonist’s amnesia, its drama that portrays the reality of high school baseball, and its exquisite balance of humor and serious elements. The original manga has been viewed over 400 million times on the app, and the first season of the anime also received strong support.

The teaser visual released this time features newly recorded voices by Masuda Toshiki as Kiyomine Haruka, Miyano Mamoru as Kaname Kei, Azakami Yohei as Todo Aoi, Shimazaki Nobunaga as Chihaya Shunpei, and Kaji Yuki as Yamada Taro.

In addition, the “Forgetting Event Project” will be launched in preparation for the broadcast of season 2. In April 2026, a “Niiyuuma Special Program to Commemorate the 2nd Anniversary of the TV Anime Broadcast” will be streamed, and a “Season 1 Retrospective Screening Relay” with stage greetings will be held in theaters in the summer of the same year. A large-scale “Season 2 Kickoff Event” is scheduled for the fall.

Additionally, to commemorate the announcement of the second season, the official X (formerly Twitter) account is running a giveaway campaign to win a cast-signed poster.
