by The TV anime Detective Precure! is heading toward its grand finale with the announcement of a special closing event. The final event, titled “Detective Precure! Thanksgiving Festival,” will be held on February 20 and 21, 2027, at the Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall in Kanagawa, Japan.
The event will take place over two days and is scheduled to feature a total of four performances. Details regarding the cast, ticket information, performance times, and other event-related information will be announced at a later date through the anime’s official website and official X account.
The announcement gives fans a chance to look forward to one final celebration of Detective Precure! after a year filled with mysteries, character developments, special collaborations, and major events. The series has attracted attention not only from longtime Precure fans but also from audiences familiar with other popular franchises, thanks to unexpected collaborations with Detective Conan and Street Fighter 6.
Detective Precure! Announces Its Final Event
The newly announced Detective Precure! Thanksgiving Festival is expected to serve as the concluding event for the TV anime.
Scheduled for February 20 and 21, 2027, the event will be held at Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall. Four performances are planned across the two-day event, although the exact schedule has not yet been revealed.
Fans will have to wait for further announcements regarding ticket sales, participating cast members, stage content, and performance times.
The event is particularly significant because Detective Precure! is the 23rd entry in the long-running Precure franchise. The series began broadcasting in February 2026 and introduced a mystery-themed concept that gave the franchise a distinctive identity.
Rather than focusing only on traditional battles between the Precure and their enemies, the series places greater emphasis on observation, deduction, investigation, and discovering the truth behind mysterious incidents.
New Teaser Visual Reveals the Four Pretty Cure Members
Alongside the announcement of the finale event, a newly illustrated teaser visual for Detective Precure! Thanksgiving Festival has also been released.
The visual features the four central Pretty Cure members:
- Anna Akechi / Cure Answer
- Mikuru Kobayashi / Cure Mystic
- Crea Hoba / Cure Eclair
- Ruruka Moria / Cure Arcana
The four characters are shown smiling together in front of the Cure Detective Agency.
Several important items can also be seen in the illustration. A Jewel Cure Watch pendant and a Precure Kit are placed on a table, adding to the detective-themed atmosphere of the artwork.
The visual also features the memorable tagline:
“Our evidence (memories) that connect to the future.”
The message is particularly fitting for a finale event, as it suggests that the memories created throughout the series will remain important even after the television story comes to an end.
The teaser artwork therefore works not only as promotional material for the event but also as a visual celebration of the journey shared by the four Pretty Cure members.
What Is Detective Precure! About?
Detective Precure! is the 23rd installment in the Precure franchise and began airing in February 2026.
The series airs every Sunday at 8:30 AM and introduces a detective-inspired theme to the long-running magical-girl franchise.
Its central concept focuses on the idea of “seeing, feeling, thinking for yourself, and finding the ‘real’ answer.”
The story follows Anna Akechi, a middle school student who travels through time from 2027 to 1999.
After arriving in the past, Anna meets Mikuru Kobayashi, a girl who dreams of becoming a great detective. Their meeting eventually leads them into a series of mysteries and unusual incidents.
Together, Anna and Mikuru take on various cases while transforming into Pretty Cure warriors.
The combination of mystery-solving and magical-girl action gives the series a different atmosphere from many previous entries in the Precure franchise.
For viewers who are new to Precure, the basic idea is simple: the characters investigate mysteries, uncover hidden truths, develop their friendships, and fight enemies while growing as individuals.
From Detective Conan to Street Fighter 6: A Year Full of Surprises
One of the biggest reasons Detective Precure! has remained a major talking point throughout 2026 is its unusual collaborations and crossover projects.
The series has repeatedly attracted attention on social media since its premiere, with several episodes and characters becoming popular among viewers.
Ruruka Moria Becomes a Social Media Sensation
One of the earliest major moments came with the appearance of Ruruka Moria.
Following the broadcast of the third episode in February, “Ruruka-chan” became a trending topic on X.
Ruruka is a particularly mysterious character because she is both a Pretty Cure and a member of the phantom-thief group Phantom.
Her introduction immediately created curiosity among viewers, who wanted to learn more about her background, motivations, and connection to the other characters.
The combination of her mysterious personality and unusual role helped make Ruruka one of the memorable characters introduced during the early part of the series.
Detective Precure! Meets Detective Conan
Another major highlight came in May 2026, when Detective Precure! collaborated with the hugely popular Detective Conan franchise.
The crossover attracted considerable attention because both series share a central theme: detectives and mystery solving.
Although the two franchises are produced by different companies and normally air through different broadcasting networks, their shared detective concept created a natural opportunity for collaboration.
The crossover also allowed Detective Precure! to reach viewers who may not normally watch the Precure franchise.
For fans, seeing characters and concepts associated with two major mystery-themed anime worlds come together became one of the year’s most talked-about moments.
The collaboration also highlighted the unique identity of Detective Precure! within the larger Precure franchise.
Detective Precure! The Movie Sets a Strong Opening Record
The series also received significant attention through its theatrical release.
Detective Precure! The Movie: The Mysterious Garden and the Secret of Two was released on September 18, 2026.
According to the information provided, the movie recorded 357,612 admissions and earned 445,584,150 yen at the Japanese box office during its first three days.
This opening surpassed the performance of Precure All Stars F, giving the film a new record for the franchise’s best-ever opening weekend based on the reported figures.
The strong opening is another indication of the interest surrounding Detective Precure! during its first year.
The movie also helped expand the story beyond the weekly television episodes, giving fans another opportunity to experience the characters and their adventures on the big screen.
Street Fighter 6 Collaboration Adds Another Unexpected Twist
The surprises did not end with the Detective Conan collaboration.
In September 2026, Detective Precure! also announced a collaboration with the popular fighting game Street Fighter 6.
At first glance, a magical-girl detective anime and a fighting game may seem like an unusual combination. However, this unexpected partnership once again demonstrated how widely Detective Precure! has expanded its presence during its first year.
The collaboration also generated additional interest among fans of both franchises.
Together with the Detective Conan crossover, the Street Fighter 6 collaboration helped establish 2026 as an unusually eventful year for the series.
Why the Final Event Is Important for Fans
The Detective Precure! Thanksgiving Festival is more than simply another stage event.
It represents a chance for the cast, creators, and fans to celebrate the entire journey of the series.
Throughout its run, Detective Precure! has combined several different elements: magical-girl action, mystery solving, time travel, friendship, character development, and unexpected collaborations.
The finale event can therefore serve as an opportunity to look back at some of the most memorable moments from the anime.
Fans can also expect the event to become an important gathering for the series’ voice cast and supporters, although the exact stage program has not yet been announced.
