“Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?” (commonly known as “DanMachi”) is an anime based on the popular light novel series by Fujino Omori, which has sold over 17 million copies in total. It is a fantasy adventure that follows the growth of the protagonist, Bell Cranel, an adventurer who takes on a vast underground labyrinth, and the story of him conquering the dungeon with the goddess Hestia and other companions.
The series’s deep worldview, powerful battle scenes, and unique characters have made it popular. Since its first anime adaptation in 2015, it has been broadcast for four seasons and has produced spin-offs and movie versions.
The fifth season, “DanMachi V: The Goddess of Fertility Arc,” began airing in October 2024. The story is set during the Goddess Festival, when the labyrinth city of Orario is in a state of revival.
