Anonymous Taro will release a new song, “Fuuka,” on October 3rd. The song is the opening theme for the anime “Kamierabi GOD.app” Season 2 (Fuji TV and others), which will begin airing today, October 2nd.
This anime is a project written by Jin of the Kagerou Project. In Season 1, which aired from October to December 2023, Goro, a boy chosen by the great will, fights against other candidates for the position of God in a battle royale. In Season 2, the battle is suspended with Goro’s disappearance, and the story takes place 12 years after the events of that time became known to the public as a mass hallucination incident.
The release date and the first full-size sound source of Anonymous Taro’s new song “Fuuka” were announced on the September 22nd broadcast of his regular program ” (read: Nanashi) on FM NORTH WAVE.
“Fuuka” was crafted with a unique concept: the image of people dancing together while envying death. This intriguing approach is said to project the way of life of each character in the anime. As Anonymous Taro puts it, “I will be performing the opening theme for season 2 of the anime ‘Kamierabi GOD.app.'”
It’s a true honor to be part of this project and collaborate with such talented creators through my music. The song, with its elegant melody reminiscent of a grand ball, depicts people dancing in the face of death. Just as there are truths and happiness, each viewer can interpret this song in various ways. I’m grateful for the opportunity to share this with you, so please enjoy it alongside the anime.
