In the distribution on November 7th (Sun), we analyzed the animation “Aggressive Retsuko.”

What is “Aggressive Retsuko”?
Retsuko, the character of Sanrio, is a female red panda who works as an office lady. I am dissatisfied with the behavior of my boss and colleagues at the company, and my daily anger is released by karaoke. Contrary to its cute appearance, the gap in singing death metal is one of the work’s charms.
Yamada: Originally, it was a planned animation for “King’s Brunch” (TBS series). It is a format in which animation fills one corner of the TV. The character Retsuko hit the girls watching “King’s Brunch” with the words, “You guys are like this.” The content was quite intense.
Izawa: It looks pretty, though. It is a setting that works in the accounting department of Chara Leeman Shoji Co., Ltd.
Yamada: You’re wearing a very classic uniform, aren’t you?
Izawa: It’s like “Shomuni” (Fuji TV) (laughs). Various animals wear human clothes and live like humans.
Yamada: In recent anime, it’s a work with an expression similar to “odd taxi.” In a movie, it’s “Zootopia,” isn’t it?
Original animation is being distributed on Netflix.
“Aggressive Retsuko” will be released as a Netflix original animation in 2018. It is currently being broadcast until Season 3, and Season 1 depicts a feud with Retsuko’s boss, Ton.
Izawa: Let’s talk about Retsuko’s accounting manager, Ton, the pig’s manager.
Yamada: Mr. Ton. I joined the company in 1987, so I’m one year older than me.
Izawa: That’s right (laughs)!
Yamada: So it’s hard to watch (laughs). It’s the one who says, “The spawn of the bubble makes a statement to the Yutori generation.” In the beginning, I didn’t even work and just played golf.
Izawa: That’s right.
Yamada: I’m just portrayed as an unpleasant boss who puts pressure on Retsuko, but later, he talks about something like “the truth of life.” “Who are we?” “What is the difference between those who work at a trading company and those who work at a trading company?”
I can see that what I’m thinking isn’t much different from Retsuko. The relationship between Director Ton and Retsuko is intense, isn’t it?
Izawa: At first, Director Ton exists as an “enemy” and a power harassment boss, but in reality, Retsuko receives many messages from Director Ton.
