Marvel Comics has presented the latest costumes to Miles Morales / Spider-Man, who will celebrate the 10th anniversary of their first debut this summer. Today, Marvel (via Newsarama) reveals Miles’ updated costume and a new suit debut in the next issue, “Miles Morales: Spider-Man,” No. 30. Check out the cover art in the image below. Miles’ new suit retains his trademark red and black color scheme, but with many changes. Instead of spandex that fits perfectly, it has been changed to a loose suit that looks almost like a jersey and wears sneakers that match the color of the claim.
This seems to be a homage to the animated movie “Spider-Man: Spider-Birth.” With that in mind, it’s not surprising that the new costume was created by Marvel’s comic version of Spider-Man veteran Chase Conley. Previously, Conley also participated in the animated series “Ultimate Spider-Man” and the video game “Marvel’s Spider-Man.”
Issue 30 of Miles Morales: Spider-Man features a new story by multiple creators who have worked on characters for many years. Was of the joined Saladin Ahmed and artist Carmen Karunero of the regular writer, “Miles Morales: Spider-Man” co-creator and artist Sarah Picheri, served as a producer in the “Spider-Man Spider Bath” Phil RoadAnd Christopher Miller, and Kemp Powers, co-director of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2.Unfortunately, Brian Michael Bendis, another co-creator and writer for “Miles Morales: Spider-Man,” is not expected to participate because he currently has an exclusive deal with DC Comics.
The special issue will go on sale in the United States on September 18, 2021, and Marvel will publish several other Miles-themed covers for other titles in September. The news was reported when Comics Lissie’s was amid a new Clone Saga. As revealed in issue 25 of “Miles Morales: Spider-Man,” Clone Saga features three mysterious Miles clones roaming around the Marvel Universe.
