by It has been revealed that the popular Gundam anime series’ TV anime ” Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX ” and the theatrical pre-release “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-” will be packaged together.
The TV anime will be packaged in four volumes, available as Blu-ray Disc (BD), DVD, and discless packages. They will be released sequentially from January 28, 2026.
This is the first time that a discless package of a Bandai Namco Film Works TV anime has been released. The special limited-edition Blu-ray of the TV anime will include a collection of storyboards from each volume, a bonus disc featuring cast talks, and a newly recorded drama CD. The theatrical release will be available on May 27, 2026, on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD.
Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX was also a hot topic, as it was the first collaboration between Sunrise, the studio behind the Gundam series, and khara, known for the Evangelion series. Ahead of the TV anime series broadcast, a pre-release theatrical version, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-, which reconstructed some episodes, began screening on January 17. The TV anime aired from April to June.
