The story depicts the battles and interactions with monsters between high school student Takashi Natsume and his self-proclaimed bodyguard, Nyanko-sensei. The first anime series began broadcasting in 2008. It is trendy, and a sixth season has been produced, which is unusual for a late-night anime. In July 2023, the production of the seventh season, “Natsume Yujincho Urushi,” was announced.
