The theme song for the anime “ALL YOU NEED IS KILL” has been decided to be “Tsukete” by college student singer-songwriter AKASAKI.

Sakurazaka Hiroshi’s light novel “All You Need Is Kill” by STUDIO4℃. The work is a sci-fi battle action story in which rookie soldier Kiriya and female warrant officer Rita throw themselves into a battle against monsters called “Gitai.” In 2014, it was made into a live-action movie in Hollywood.

The anime reconstructs the story from a different perspective than the original and the live-action movie. Focusing on Rita’s inner world, it depicts her loneliness and suffering as she fights while repeating time leaps. It also tells the story of her meeting with Keiji and her growth.

This is the first time that AKASAKI will perform a theme song for an anime. “Tsukete” was written based on the anime’s story.
