‘The Apothecary Diaries’ TV anime third season and first movie version are in production. ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ box office revenue exceeds 36.7 billion yen.

On the 22nd, a stage greeting for the original animated film “Housenka,” a collaboration between director Kinoshita Mugi, who worked on the TV anime “Odd Taxi,” and manga artist and screenwriter Konomoto Kazuya, was held at Shinjuku Wald 9 (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo), with director Kinoshita and voice actors Hanae Natsuki and Saito Soma appearing.

Hanae praised “Housenka,” saying, “When I put myself in their shoes, it really touched me and brought me to tears. The structure is fantastic, and the plot twists are resolved at the end, and I was moved by how neatly it all wraps up.”

On the 22nd, it was announced that the third season of the anime “The Apothecary Diaries,” based on the light novel by Hinata Natsu, which originated on the novel submission website “Let’s Become a Novelist,” will be produced, along with a feature film.

This will be the first time “The Apothecary Diaries” has a feature film, and it will be released in December 2026. The third season of the anime will be split into two seasons, with the first airing on Nippon Television in October 2026 and the second in April 2027.

On the 23rd, KTV announced that it will launch a new anime slot, “Kaanibal!!,” on Tuesdays at 11 pm nationwide on the KTV/Fuji TV network in January 2026.

The first to be aired will be the TV anime “Mayonaka Heart Tune,” based on the romantic comedy manga by Igarashi Masakuni, currently serialized in “Weekly Shonen Magazine” (Kodansha), which will begin airing on January 6th, 2026. It was also announced that “Ghost in the Shell,” “Choujun! Chojo Senpai,” and “Marriage Toxin” will be broadcast in the same slot.

On the 24th, it was announced that “BLUE GALE XABUNGLE SIDE R,” an experimental video based on the robot anime “Combat Mecha Xabungle,” which aired from 1982 to 1983, will be released on November 13th at “TAMASHII NATION 2025,” which will be held in Akihabara, Tokyo, and on the Sunrise YouTube channel.

As with “BLUE GALE XABUNGLE SIDE L,” which was released in May, Kamikaze Douga and Bandai Namco Filmworks have teamed up to produce the video, with young creators “reinterpreting it from a different perspective.”
