A new animated film, The Rose of Versailles, will be released in the New Year 2025. Four stills of Hans Axel von Fersen, born on September 4th, have been unveiled to celebrate his birthday.

Hans Axel von Fersen, whose stills were released on his birthday on September 4th, is a handsome, thoughtful, and intelligent Swedish count. At a masked ball at the Paris Opera, he has a fateful encounter with Marie Antoinette, the daughter of Austrian Empress Maria Theresa, who came to France at the age of 14 to become the wife of King Louis XVI. Despite being tossed about by his forbidden love, he sticks to his love for her and chooses his own life.
The Takarazuka Revue is currently performing “The Rose of Versailles – Fersen Edition” to great acclaim, and Fersen was chosen as the lead character in the memorable 50th anniversary of the premiere of the Takarazuka Revue “The Rose of Versailles.” Stills of Fersen, who is so popular, include the scene where he meets Oscar François de Jarjayes, who would later become his best friend and serve as Marie Antoinette’s guard as the commander of the French Guard at a young age.
