A teaser visual was also released, depicting the diner’s owner, Dennis, who serves food to adventurers who visit, and the beautiful waitress, Atelier, who brings fried rice.
“Welcome to the Exiles’ Diner!” is a popular work that began serialization on “Let’s Become a Novelist” in 2018, was published as a book in 2019, and was made into a comic book in 2020. The series has sold over 850,000 copies in total.
This “new gourmet fantasy set in another world” is set in an adventurer’s diner opened by Dennis, a chef who was expelled from the strongest guild, and a beautiful formerly enslaved person named Atelier, where they build bonds with the eccentric adventurers who visit through cooking.
Original author Kimikawa Yuki commented, “It was made into an anime thanks to all the readers, Gaou-sensei for the book illustrator, Tsumumi-sensei for the comic, and all the editors and other people involved. The anime staff also deeply understands the work, and I am very grateful. I am looking forward to seeing the finished product!”
The original character designer, Gaou, and the comic adaptation’s lead artist, Tsumumi, also contributed illustrations.
