by It has been announced that the TV anime series “The Strongest King, What Will He Do in His Second Life?”, based on “The Beginning After the End,” a fantasy reincarnation adventure by TurtleMe that began serialization in 2018 on “Tapas,” one of the largest web manga platforms in the United States, will be broadcast on Fuji TV’s late-night anime slot “+Ultra” from April 2nd. It has also been announced that “+Ultra” will be airing 10 minutes earlier from April, at 12:45 am every Wednesday.
The key visuals feature the main character, Arthur, the heroine, Tessia, and Arthur’s parents, Reynolds and Alice, watching over his growth. The official promotional video shows the cold-hearted and ruthless King Gray suddenly being reborn as a helpless baby named Arthur.
Additional cast members have also been announced, including Kinjo Yamato as Arthur’s father, Reynolds, Maeda Reina as his mother, Alice, Takahashi Shinya as Darden, a member of the adventurer party “Twin Horns,” Kimura Taihi as Adam, Ogura Yayu as Helen, Akechi Riko as Angela, and Izawa Shiori as Sylvia, a mysterious being that Arthur meets in the forest.
It was also announced that KALA, a Canadian member of a powerful e-sports team, will write the opening theme, “KINGSBLOOD.”
The story depicts the “second life” of the strongest king in history, Gray, who is suddenly reincarnated one morning into the magical world as a helpless baby named Arthur. He grows up despite his struggles with the love of his family and friends.
In Japan, the series began serialization in 2020 on the web manga service Piccoma under the title “What Will the Strongest King Do in his Second Life?” The anime will be directed by Keitaro Motonaga and produced by Studio A-CAT.
