The new puppet animation movie “Memories of Moominpappa” was announced in conjunction with “Moomin Day” on August 9th, the birthday of Tove Jansson. The story begins one day in bed when Moomintroll hears Moominpappa tell stories of her youth adventures.
One day, a young Moominpappa, who grew up in an orphaned home, decided to escape from the home and go on an adventure. Along the way, young Moominpappa meets inventor Fredriksson and Rod Yule (Sniff’s father), who is always busy collecting junk and hit it off. Fredrickson shows everyone a newly completed ship called “Sea Orchestra.”
When he boarded the ship, there was also a carefree Yoxal (Snufkin’s father) sneaking in without permission. With the help of Edward the Dragon, the happy companions set off on a fantastic voyage.
