This work is based on the light novel Spice and Wolf by Chisuna Hasekura, which won the Silver Prize at the 12th Dengeki Novel Award. It was made into a TV anime in 2008 and 2009, but this time, the story will be drawn from the beginning as a completely new work. The cast continues, with Jun Fukuyama playing the young peddler Craft Lawrence and Ami Koshimizu playing the role of Holo, a beautiful girl who calls herself a “wise wolf.”
The story depicts Lawrence and Holo meeting and heading north on a business trip. To commemorate this re-adaptation into TV animation, a new cover version of the original novel will be sold in late March 2024, including a new illustration by the original illustrator, Ju Fumikura.
