The anime “Whispering Love” is based on the manga by the same name, Eku Takeshima, which won first place at the “Yuri Manga Award 2020”. The story begins when first-year high school student Himari Kino (CV: Hana Shimano) sees the band “SSGIRLS” perform at a welcome party for new students and falls in love at first sight with Asanagi (CV: Masami Seto ), who plays guitar and vocals. It’s a girl band love story.
In the second episode of the previous episode, Himari and Yori went on a weekend date for the first time. While eating at her restaurant, Himari tried to feed her pasta with her fork, asking, “Would you like a bite?” “Yes, please.” Yori ate the pasta even though she was upset and said, “Oh no!” Viewers were captivated by himari’s devil-like behavior, saying things like, “Ah, that’s crazy!”, “That’s cute violence,” and “She’s a natural female devil.”
In the latest episode 3, “Confession and Confusion.”, Yori asked Himari for her response to her confession. Himari revealed her honest thoughts, saying, “I don’t know what it means to like love in the first place.” Hearing these words, “If we continue to spend time together and think that I like you, then we’ll be together…” Yori said, “That means you’ll give me a chance, right?” Confirmed. In response to Himari’s sincere attitude toward her, Yori smiled and said, “I’m going to make you fall even more in love with Kino-san, so be prepared.”
Yori is often flinched by Himari’s innocent words and actions, but when she hears his handsome lines, he says, “I’m completely in love with you,” “I’m numb,” and “Yi-senpai, you’re cool in a natural way…” The viewers are also captivated.
