Captain Earth’s 10th Anniversary Project Launched! Blu-ray Box Release & Special Broadcast on Animax Announced

A project has been launched to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the TV anime “Captain Earth.” Along with the announcement, a new illustration drawn by character designer Fumi Mikanagi was released. It was also revealed that a Memorial Blu-ray Box will be released, and a special broadcast will be held on

“Captain Earth” is an original TV anime based on the original work by BONES that aired for 25 episodes from April to September 2014. The story depicts four boys and girls centered around the protagonist, Daichi Manatsu (voiced by Miyu Irino ), who is confronting a space threat called “Quiltgang” on the island of Tanegashima.

The director is Takuya Igarashi, the series composition is by Youji Enokido, and the character design is by Fumi Mikanagi. The cast includes Irino Miyu as Daichi, Kamiya Hiroshi, Kayano Ai, Hidaka Rina, Koyama Rikiya, Suzumura Kenichi, Sakamoto Maaya, Kudo Haruka, Uchiyama Kouki, Yamamoto Nozomi, Han Megumi, and Toyonaga Toshiyuki. In addition to the full-scale robot action, the youth ensemble drama centered around Daichi and friends was also a big attraction and a hot topic when it was broadcast. Now, to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the series, a project has been launched to commemorate this.

The original character designer, Mikan Bun, has drawn a celebratory illustration of Daichi, Teppei, Hana, and Akari celebrating the 10th anniversary with balloons and crackers. It has also been decided that the “Captain Earth Memorial Blu-ray Box” will be released on January 29, 2025, with a newly drawn jacket and a special booklet.

The jacket design will be released at a later date. It has also been revealed that Animax will be broadcasting a unique feature in this work. All 25 episodes will be broadcast on September 15th and 16th. In addition, they are also scheduled to be streamed on YouTube in the future.
