The city of Uruma recently announced the creation of a location map and tourist posters introducing the locations used in the town and restaurants in the city to commemorate the start of the broadcast of the anime “Okinawa de Suki ni Nattachi Ko ga Suru Sugoi Tora Tooru” (commonly known as Oki Tsura), which depicts the love story between a protagonist who transfers to Okinawa and the heroines who speak Okinawan dialect, from the 4th.

From the day the anime starts airing, the location map will be distributed at the Uruma City Hall Tourism Events Division, Gushikawa Community Center, and Okinawa Tourist Information Center in Naha City. It features original anime illustrations and introduces the Okinawan culture, the Okitsura manga, and the filming locations.

As a related project, a crowdfunding campaign is being carried out with gifts such as Ryukyu glass and anime stickers. Yoshihiko Senaha, chairman of the city’s tourism and products association, said, “By setting the story in Uruma, we hope to promote the city’s attractive nature, sea, and culture to the world through the anime.”

Mayor Masato Nakamura said, “Please use the map when you visit the sacred sites. We hope many people who have watched the anime will enjoy themselves when they come to Uruma.”
