“Destiny Rewinder” is a time loop action story about the Space-Time Police Special Mobile Unit, commonly known as “Rewinders”. Using a time machine, “Retry Eye” implanted in their right eye, they repeatedly rewind time until they save people who have died tragically.
It is the first work in the history of the monthly CoroCoro Comic (Shogakukan) to win first place in the popularity survey for 12 consecutive months, supported by creators from various fields, including Tsujimura Mizuki, Kawamura Genki, Kodaka Kazutaka, Fujii Taiyo, Urobuchi Gen, and Eve. Nine volumes of the book have been published so far.
The latest volume, 10, will be released on July 28th. Along with the announcement of the anime adaptation, a teaser visual and a teaser PV featuring the main character, Chrono, were also released. Comments were also received from the original author, Kimura, and director Matsumoto.
Kimura wrote, “The cast is so amazing! This is the happiest I’ve ever been! I’ve been able to get this far thanks to everyone at the CoroCoro editorial department, including my editor Waki-san, my assistants, the Rewinder YouTubers, my family, and all the CoroCoro readers who have supported Rewinder! Thank you!” In commemoration of the anime adaptation, “Rewinder of Fate” will be released for free for 72 hours only on Weekly CoroCoro Comic. All episodes can be enjoyed for free until 5:59 p.m. on July 13th.
In addition, the first character popularity vote for “Rewinder of Fate” will be held. Voting is open on the special website until 11:59 p.m. on August 31st. My heart is always warmed by the sight of the main character, Chrono, who travels back and forth between the past and future many times to rescue the target person from the fate of death (stop), and who steadily records and reflects on his actions while becoming worn out himself.
