The first-ever exhibition for the TV anime “The Summer Where Light Died,” “TV Anime ‘The Summer Where Light Died’ Exhibition,” will be held from November 14 to December 7, 2025, at the event space inside Tenbo Park at the Sunshine 60 Observatory in Ikebukuro. The main visual for the exhibition was also released along with the announcement.

“The Summer Where Light Died” is a coming-of-age horror story based on the manga currently being serialized in Mokumoku Ren’s “Young Ace UP.” The story follows Yoshiki (played by Yoshiki Tsujinaka), an ordinary high school boy, as he experiences various mysterious incidents around him while living with Hikaru, a ghostly being who mimics his childhood friend, Ido Hikaru.

The original series has sold over 3.5 million copies and has garnered attention, including being ranked No. 1 in the “This Manga is Amazing! 2023” Men’s Edition. The TV anime is directed and composed by Ryohei Takeshita (“Jellyfish Can’t Swim at Night”). Character design and general animation director is Yuichi Takahashi, and the doro-doroki animator is Masanobu Hiraoka. Cygames Pictures is producing the animation. The cast includes Chiaki Kobayashi as Yoshikiko, Yoshinori Tsujinaka, and Shuichiro Umeda as Hikaru.

The series began airing in July 2025. The first-ever exhibition, “TV Anime ‘The Summer Where the Light Died’ Exhibition,” commemorates the broadcast of the TV anime. The venue will feature displays looking back on famous scenes and numerous photo spots recreating memorable scenes from the series. In addition, exclusive setting materials and precious reproductions of the anime’s original drawings will also be on display.

The on-site shop will also carry a variety of original exhibition merchandise featuring newly drawn illustrations. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale around the end of September, so stay tuned for further information.
