It has been announced that the manga “Otome Kaiju Caramelize” will be adapted into a TV anime, with broadcast on TBS and BS11 in 2026. A teaser visual and promotional video, along with information on the main staff and cast, have also been released.
The original work, Otome Kaiju Caramelize, has been serialized in Monthly Comic Arai since 2018. A high school girl, Kuroe Akaishi (Chloe), who is plagued by an unknown illness, falls in love with Minami Shinta, the most popular boy at school.
While it is a classic shojo manga, the moment the girl’s feelings of love intensify, the giant monster Harugon suddenly appears in Tokyo, turning the conventions of shojo manga into the greatest romantic comedy manga of all time.
The teaser trailer highlights Chloe’s clumsy cuteness, the CG depiction of the giant monster Harugon that suddenly appears, and the spectacular action.
