This work is an original work serialized in the manga app “Cycomics” operated by that “Cygames,” which has been producing hit works such as “Uma Musume Pretty Derby.”
This work has strong words in the title, but with the support of enthusiastic fans, it is a scorching work that was announced as an animation just one and a half years after the serialization!
We will approach the hottest “Uncle Fa Meat,” his thoughts on animation, and his ambitions at the time of planning!
“I’m glad” when I decided to animate, “I think the world recognized my propensity.”
First of all, please tell us your feelings when the animation was announced.
Tsurusaki: To be honest, “relieved” is the best. Actually, in my past work, there was an animation story, but in the end, it got stuck.
When I heard from the editor in charge that “an anime project has been brought in” this time, I was waiting so that I wouldn’t expect too much because it might be posh again at first.
Then, from the place where it was initially said that “it will be realized with a probability of about 30%”, it gradually increased to 50% and 70%. Finally, it was possible to announce the animation.
At the time of the last audition, when I had the voice actor read the lines I thought of, I was very embarrassed, but I finally realized it a little (laughs).
-At the beginning of the series, it was commented that “I want to distort someone’s propensity,” but now that the animation has been announced, has that ambition come true?
Tsurusaki: Certainly, I thought, “I want to distort someone’s propensity” (laughs).
Episode 1 Author’s comment
The niche work “A 32-year-old adult man who has fleshed the body of a beautiful girl in a different world and his best friend Spadari glasses 32-year-old classmate’s slapstick romantic comedy” has reached the point of animation. I’m starting to think, “Isn’t it the target?” (Laughs)
-Certainly, even now that the cast has not been announced (at the time of the interview), considering that there are more than 2000 followers on the official account, it may be distorting the propensity of quite a lot of people.
“Uncle Fa Meat” is “The story of the main characters of the same generation sent by the team of the same generation.”
This time, about the contents of “Uncle Fa Meat.” The main characters, Tachibana and Jinguji, are 32 years old, so why did you set this age?
Tsurusaki: when I’m about that age, when I talk to a character, it’s easiest to imagine what I’m talking about if I’m the same age as myself.
By the way, Mr. Ikezawa, the drawing artist, and Mr. Ada, the editor in charge, are all of the same generations. Perhaps because such a team makes it of the same generation, it seems that the fans of “Uncle Fa Meat” are also that old.
And in fact, the background of the manga and the director of the anime “Uncle Fa Biiku” are of the same generation (laughs).
It feels like a story of the main characters of the same generation by a team of the same generation! Speaking of settings, this work is unique among other worlds, but please tell us the story of when this project was born!
Tsurusaki: When I discussed a new project with the editor in charge, I was asked, “Isn’t there something in a different world genre?”
“Uncle Fa Meat” is a romantic comedy as a genre, but I think I would never have released it if I was told, “Please give me a romantic comedy” (laughs).
However, at first, I was reluctant to edit. When I was asked, “Are there any catchphrases?” And said, “Well … a beautiful girl in a different world, uncle …?”
Since then, it has been serialized, and thanks to you, it has been well received from the beginning, but since there is no precedent for other works in terms of settings, it is impossible to draw something like a model. So I am experiencing the pain of being born every episode.
Please tell us if there is a character set that Mr. Tsurusaki thought about or if a character behaves differently than initially expected!
Tsurusaki: Well, as for how to make it, Tachibana is a character that many people, including myself, can easily empathize with, and Jinguji is a character that no one can empathize with.
The character who made unexpected movements is Shuba-kun. Originally I intended to be an underdog, but on the contrary, it has become a puppy character-like, energetic Wanwan (laughs).
It wasn’t like that in the initial assumption. But it’s easy to move, and I’ve grown more than I expected.
On the contrary, it is Lou (the head of the elf) that does not change.
When I was in elementary school, my dream was to be a “manga artist,” and when I realized it, I became an anime author as a couple.
This time, I would like to ask you a little more private part. Did Mr. Tsurusaki initially like anime?
Tsurusaki: Well, I’ve always liked anime. My parents used to play NES when I was a child, so I played games all the time. From there, it was derived from manga and anime. When I was in elementary school, I wanted to be a manga artist.
In terms of anime, what kind of work do you like?
Tsurusaki: After all, “Neon Genesis Evangelion” was the best. Also, my personal favorites are “Haibane Renmei”, “Cowboy Bebop”, and “Rurouni Kenshin-Meiji Kenkaku Romantan-Remembrance Edition”. Recently, I also liked the first season of the anime “Rage of Bahamut”!
Mr. Tsurusaki, who was fond of such masterpiece anime, can become the original anime author! By the way, what kind of encounter did you have with Mr. Ikezawa, who is in charge of drawing “Uncle Fa Meat”?
Tsurusaki: Actually, Professor Ikezawa is a classmate at my vocational school. I’ve loved Professor Ikezawa’s paintings since that time, and in a nutshell, the three-dimensional effect was fascinating. Do you say that there is a vividness of standing in the world of the painting?
I was aiming for a picture of that kind of system, but it wasn’t quite there. In that sense, I longed for it.
I also like paintings for Professor Ikezawa, but I fell in love with Professor Ikezawa when I was a professional student … Then I confessed and dating. Now I’m writing manga as a couple. It’s a feeling.
It was a couple! It’s lovely to be an anime author as a couple now because of my relationship since I was a student! Is there any scene you are looking forward to about the anime version of “Uncle Fa Bimeiku” made by these two people?
Tsurusaki: Speaking of fun scenes, there is a scene where Jingu-Ji says a long line in the part recorded in the 5th volume of the comic, but I’m looking forward to what kind of production it will be!

You have decided to serialize Cycomics and make it into an animation. What is your next goal?
Tsurusaki: After all, will the anime “Fa Bikini Uncle” go to the movie version for the second term?
I’m wondering if it will be a game after that. There aren’t enough characters for “Uncle Fa Meat” alone, so I wonder if you can collaborate with other works by connecting with Cygames!
