The shocking depiction keeps my heart racing.
In recent years, video streaming services have made it possible to enjoy popular anime works anytime and anywhere. However, if you watch a famous work with your family without doing your research, you may feel awkward when you see adult depictions.
“Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru” “Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru” (hereinafter referred to as “Kisekoi”), which began airing in January 2022, is a romantic comedy about a high school boy named Gojo Niina who aspires to be a head maker for Hina dolls, who is asked by his anime otaku and gyaru classmate Kitagawa Marin to make a cosplay costume. The two gradually become closer through the production. It has become so popular that it is said to be the hegemonic work of winter 2022 anime, and a sequel is scheduled to be made, although the timing is yet to be decided.
While this work has been highly praised for its likable and attractive characters and beautiful drawings, it also has some rather adult depictions. For example, in the second episode, Niina takes Marin’s measurements to make a cosplay costume, and many viewers are thrilled to see her in a swimsuit as she measures her chest and legs. Also, in episode 11, they went to a love hotel for a cosplay photoshoot, and Marin climbed on top of Niina to take the photo.
The two were engrossed in the shoot but suddenly remembered where they were and panicked. Some people watched the episode without realizing it contained extreme scenes, with comments such as “I have nothing to lose after watching the Love Hotel episode in front of my family” and “I watched ‘Kise Koi’ in front of my family without knowing… I feel like I’m going to die mentally.”
“Zon 100: 100 Things to Do Before You Become a Zombie” “Zon 100: 100 Things to Do Before You Become a Zombie” (hereafter “Zon 100”), which was broadcast on TBS affiliated stations every Sunday at 5 pm, commonly known as “Nichi 5”, is a story about the main character “Tendo Akira” (hereafter ” Akira” ), who works at a black company, who is suddenly released from his company when the world becomes full of “zombies” and pursues his dreams.
Although this is a zombie story, it is an anime that gives you energy by watching Akira happily and cheerfully enjoying life. However, it has some extreme depictions that make it hard to believe it was broadcast on Sundays at 5 pm. Some people may be more surprised by the grotesqueness of the zombies. In the scene in episode 3 where Akira’s best friend “Tatsuzaki Kenichiro” (hereafter “Kencho”) appears, Kencho is in a love hotel room.
The room is an SM room, and Kencho is restraining the woman who entered the hotel with him and turned into a zombie with SM goods. Also, in episode 4, Kencho escapes from the zombies and ends up in bed with a flight attendant he meets, and the flight attendant begs him to do it “one more time.” The series is full of other extreme scenes, such as Akira and Kencho bathing together with the heroines and Kencho performing a nude act.
On social media, many people have expressed doubts about the time slot the series was aired, saying things like, “I thought that since it’s on Sundays at 5 pm, any risqué scenes would be censored, but they weren’t cut out at all,” “I hope for a second season, but the next one should be late at night,” and “This is the first time I’ve seen the first episode of Zombie 100 properly, and I can’t believe they were able to air it on a Sunday evening…”
