The latest key visual and second promotional video for the anime “Fat, Love, and Mistakes!” (broadcast begins Monday, October 6th, every Monday night from 11:00-11:30 pm on TOKYO MX), starring Endo Aya as the lead voice actor, have been released, along with additional cast members and information on the opening theme. Comments from the cast and artists have also been released.
The slapstick office romantic comedy, which has surpassed 100 million downloads, is being adapted into an anime. The show is based on the manga of the same name by Mamakari, currently serialized in Comic Seymour. The original work has surpassed 128 million downloads.
The main character, Koda Yumeko (voiced by Endo), who works at a confectionery manufacturer, loses her memory one day in an accident. Yumeko was originally a bundle of complexes and lacked self-confidence, but when she woke up, she had completely transformed into an incredibly positive person with extremely high self-esteem.
Everyone around her, including the vice president of a confectionery manufacturer, Yuki Keisuke (voiced by Uchida Yuuma), is perplexed by Yumeko’s change to a completely different personality. However, as Yumeko’s upbeat personality helps them resolve their worries, changes begin to occur gradually.
The new key visual gives a glimpse into the relationships between the characters. The latest key visual released shows the office of Saibara, the confectionery manufacturer, where Yumeko and Keisuke work. Office members other than Keisuke also make their first appearance. In addition to Keisuke, who watches over Yumeko kindly, some colleagues look at her with a critical eye.
The content gives a glimpse into the noisy yet tense daily life in the office. Unique office members and people connected to Yumeko appear one after another. The second trailer, which has just been released, features not only the light-hearted exchanges between Yumeko and Keisuke, but also numerous conversations with the unique office members and characters who were involved with Yumeko before she lost her memory.
The cast of characters has also been announced. Yumeko’s office members include Akari Kito, the beauty boss and hard worker Tamai Emi, and Tomokazu Sugita, who plays the tough section chief Maezono Hiroki, harboring a grudge against Keisuke. Eguchi Takuya has also been cast as the mood maker Shigemori Yutaka, and Takeuchi Eiji as the attentiveness expert Hosoi Masahiko.
Additionally, Junichi Suwabe will play Minami Motoki, and Shoya Chiba will play Tanikawa Shunzaburo, who play people involved in the incident that Yumeko has become embroiled in. Opening Theme Song and Collaboration Visuals Released: The second promotional video features GANG PARADE’s “Happy Yummy Lucky Yummy,” the opening theme song for the series, along with Uchida’s “Watashi de Yokatta!!,” the ending theme song. To celebrate the release of the opening theme, a collaboration visual featuring GANG PARADE and Yumeko, drawn by illustrator/animator Sushio, was also released.
The special illustration features Yumeko wearing the new GANG PARADE costumes designed by Sushio himself. Comment from Akari Kito, voice of Tamai Emi: While I’m playing Tamai Emi, the character I’m portraying might seem soft, cute, and comforting, but she also has a very human side, making her an interesting character. Reading the original manga, I got the sense that she has her own principles and that she lives honestly, putting in effort, so I tried to portray that aspect carefully. Fat, Love, and Mistakes!
This work is a world apart from a typical romantic comedy, so how will it turn out in the anime? It will be enjoyable for both fans of the original work and those experiencing it for the first time, so please look forward to the broadcast! Comment from Sugita Tomokazu, who plays Maezono Hiroki. Your impression of the work may change slightly depending on how you perceive him. Is he just a strict boss for Yumeko, or is there something more to it? While playing the role, two completely incompatible emotions were constantly clashing inside me. That remains the case today. I hope you will all enjoy it.
Eguchi Takuya, who plays Shigemori Yutaka. Shigemori Yutaka is a bright, happy, and optimistic character! Being with him really makes you feel energized, lol. I played the role with the desire to exude his happiness as much as possible. When I read the original manga, I couldn’t put it down. I hope you enjoy the atmosphere of being curious to know what will happen next in the anime! Takeuchi Eiji, who plays Hosoi Masahiko. I’m Takeuchi Eiji, who plays Hosoi Masahiko. Hosoi-san is not the type to be assertive and tends to remain unobtrusive within the planning department. Still, she is expressive, easily moved to tears, and a very kind person who cares about her colleagues. And as her name suggests, she is a very slim person, so I’m trying to portray that slim and gentle image. I hope you enjoy the slim and gentle Hosoi-san and “Fat, Love, and Mistakes
