by BS Shochiku Tokyu will broadcast the TV anime “Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS” nationwide for free from Monday, April 7th. This is the series’ third season, following “Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A’s,” which is currently being broadcast on the same station and will be the first time it is broadcast on BS. Two episodes will be aired consecutively every Monday from 11:30 p.m.
“Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS” is the third work in the “Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha” series, which began broadcasting in 2004. Set in a world 10 years after the previous work “Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A’s,” the story follows Nanoha Takamachi, who becomes a 19-year-old ace magician and plays an active role.
The series celebrated its 20th anniversary last year, and the production of new work has been decided, so it is gaining popularity. To coincide with the broadcast’s start, interview comments have been received from Chiwa Saito, who will be playing Subaru Nakajima, a new character appearing in this work, and Mai Nakahara, who will be playing Teana Lanster. In addition, an original promotional video featuring the two has also been produced ahead of the broadcast.

How did you feel when you were chosen to appear in the “Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha” series, and how were the reactions of those around you at the time? Since it was a magical girl story, I imagined cute transformation scenes and sparkling magic scenes, but it was a more physical combat type than I expected, so it was very refreshing. Please tell us if there are any similarities between you and the character Subaru Nakajima, whom you played in “Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS.” When I think back to myself at that time objectively, I see that we are similar in that we “always try too hard.
I had to do it! I had to do it and tried my best, even if it meant pushing myself a little. I remember it fondly. Are any lines or scenes from Subaru Nakajima still in your memory? “Deebaaaaaa, Baaaaaaa!” Maybe. I remember performing with all my might every time, even if my throat got dry from this recording! I remember that I performed with that spirit. In the scene where Gin’s sister is kidnapped, I was so exhausted after the post-recording that I took a taxi home. (laughs) You are set to be childhood friends with Tiana Lanster, but did you have any meetings with Nakahara Mai at the time of the post-recording? Mai and I have known each other for a long time, so we were in sync without having to say much, and I trusted her completely.
I could play Subaru confidently because Mai was playing Tier, so I am very grateful. How was it voicing Subaru Nakajima again this time? It’s been a while since I played Subaru, but this time, I could record with Tiana Mai to return to the atmosphere of those days very naturally.
