‘Demon Slayer’ Giyuu loses to Tanjiro. Reason for not participating in practice: Scene cuts from episode 2 revealed

Scene cuts and a synopsis of the second episode of the new series of the popular TV anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba,” “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Pillar Training Arc,” titled “The Pain of the Water Pillar, Tomioka Giyuu,” have been released.

In episode 2, Kagaya’s crow suddenly appears before Tamayo and invites her, who is a demon, to the Demon Slayer Corps’ headquarters.

Meanwhile, at the Butterfly Mansion, Tanjiro receives a letter from Kagaya and visits Giyuu, who is not participating in training.

Tanjiro is initially rejected, but he patiently continues to talk to Giyuu. Eventually, Giyuu gives in and explains why he isn’t participating in training.

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba—Pillar Training Arc” is an episode that spans volumes 15 and 16 of the original manga. It tells the story of Tanjiro and his friends receiving training from the Demon Slayer Corps’ highest-ranking swordsmen, the Pillars, to become even stronger.

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is based on the same manga, which was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” from February 2016 to May 2020. This famous work has sold over 150 million copies in total. 

The story is set in a world inhabited by man-eating demons during the Taisho era and tells the story of Tanjiro Kamado, a boy whose family was killed by demons, who joins the Demon Slayer Corps and sets out on a journey to turn his sister Nezuko, who has become a demon, back into a human and to slay the monster that killed his family.

The first season of the TV anime was aired from April to September 2019, catching fire and becoming a social phenomenon. The movie “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train,” which is a sequel to the final episode of the anime, was released in October 2020 and became a huge hit, grossing over 40 billion yen in Japan. The second season of the TV anime, 

The Entertainment District Arc, which continues the movie, began airing in December 2021. The third season, “The Swordsmith Village Arc,” which continues the second season, began airing in April 2023.
