It has been announced that the novel “I Want to Run Away from Princess Education” will be adapted into a TV anime and broadcast in 2025. Haruka Shiraishi will play the role of Leticia, and Jun Fukuyama will play the role of Clark.
The two teaser visuals show Leticia, who has escaped her princess training and is living freely, and Clark, who is chasing after her.
Comment from Haruka Shiraishi, the voice of Leticia
I’m Shiraishi Haruka, who plays Leticia. The expression “slapstick, heart-warming romantic comedy” suits this work! It’s heart-pounding, but before I knew it, I laughed out loud and wanted to root for all the characters’ love. I hope I can have fun portraying the “romantic chase” that progresses gradually despite the conflicts!
Comment from Fukuyama Jun, who plays Clark
I’m Fukuyama Jun, who plays Clark. Clark is devoted to Leticia and acts in a way that expresses his love to the fullest. I’m looking forward to seeing Clark’s love for Leticia, which is so strong that it’s almost embarrassing to watch. Please look forward to it!
Congratulatory comment from the original author, Izumi Sawano
“I Want to Run Away from Princess Education” has been decided to be made into an anime! I was so happy that I jumped up and down. Thanks to everyone’s support, everyone involved, and manga artist Uri Suda! Thank you! When I heard about the anime adaptation, I thought, “Really?” But it’s true! I wrote this story because I wanted to write a story in which there are no downright evil characters, but all the characters are human. So, there are no perfect superhuman characters, but I hope you can feel the human touch. I’m sure everyone who moves in the anime will be cute, unique, and interesting, so please watch it! I’m also excited to wait for the broadcast!
Thank you to all readers for the congratulatory illustrations and comments from Uri Suda, the comic adaptation director
I can’t forget the excitement I felt the day I heard it would be made into anime. I’m thrilled to be able to share with readers the feeling that I thought “interesting!” when I read the story of Leticia and Clark in the novel. Anime is terrific…! Starting with the director, so many people, more than I can comprehend, have created and prepared the work to be delivered.
All of this is connected to the people who watch it. I am happy to be involved in this series of events where Professor Sawano passes the baton. Although Leticia knows her role, she values her feelings. She is only a 16-year-old girl. I was encouraged by her struggles and trial and error as she grasped a life she was satisfied with. Being a good girl is boring! I’m going to go and climb a tree! Please look forward to the broadcast.
