by The TV anime Summer Pockets will air in April 2025. Ahead of the broadcast, a non-credit opening video has been released.
“Summer Pockets” is based on a romance adventure game by Key, a game brand known for “CLANNAD” and “Angel Beats!”. The story depicts the interactions between the main character, Takahara Hairi, who comes to Torishirojima during her summer vacation to sort out her deceased grandmother’s belongings and the people on the island. Feel produces the anime.
The director is Kobayashi Tomoki, the series composition is Ochi Keiichiro, and the character design is Otsuka Mai. The opening theme is “Alcatel,” sung by Suzuki Konomi. Ayaka Hozumi of Feel., who was in charge of storyboarding and directing the opening movie, commented, “When I was working on the opening, I wanted to cherish the words of the original game, ‘I never forgot how dazzling it was.’ I approached the film with that thought in mind.
“I tried to pack in as much of the charm of Summer Pockets as possible, so I couldn’t be happier if the viewers were to enjoy it even a little.” Also, it has been decided that a spin-off manga of “Summer Pockets” will be serialized in Dengeki Moeoh (KADOKAWA) and Kadokomi.
Details will be released in the February issue of Dengeki Moeoh, which will be released on December 27th. In addition, a “Summer Pockets” talk show will be held on December 29th at 3 pm on the Visual Arts special stage at Comic Market 105, which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight in Tokyo.
The event will feature Chiba Shoya, who plays Takahara Hayari, Kohara Yoshimi, who plays Naruse Shiroha, and game director Kai and producer Nakajima Naoto. Please note that to participate in the event, you will need a numbered ticket distributed at the Visual Arts booth from 10:30 on the event day.
