On April 26th, just before Golden Week, the popular male idol was spotted in front of the crowded Hakata Station. He was there as a surprise visit.

On the same day, the “Asadesu Festival” was held, sponsored by the popular Kyushu information program “Asadesu.” (TV Asahi). It was held before Hakata Station to celebrate the program’s 25th anniversary.

The visitors let out cries of joy. “It’s a popular program in the local area, so I went there and found Kis-My-Ft2 ‘s Miyata Toshiya there. He appears on the program regularly on Tuesdays, but it wasn’t announced in the event program, so it was a surprise appearance. Miyata appeared twice, once in the morning and once on the mini-stage in the afternoon.

In the morning, the seats in the front were purchased in advance, so most of the attendees were female fans of voice actors, but in the afternoon, the seats were first-come, first-served, so there was a scramble to get a closer look at Miyata. Perhaps it was because Miyata enjoyed appearing with voice actors Reiji Kawashima and Shugo Nakamura, with whom he has personal and professional ties. Still, he got into the groove and enjoyed some Hakata gourmet food, and he lamented that he knows Nakamura’s contact information but that “I get more calls from the fan club I’m a member of,” which excited the crowd.”

Miyata is an anime fanatic among the former Johnnys and is actively involved in voice acting. It is an entertainment journalist who says that his masterpiece is attracting attention. “When Miyata’s first novel, ‘Melody of the Boundary,’ was released in May 2024, it quickly became a hot topic and won the ‘Next Light Novel Award 2024.”

The production of a sequel has already been decided. The momentum shows no signs of slowing down. Ten months after its release, it was announced that it would be made into a manga, and it began serialization in the monthly manga magazine “Young Ace” in May.

The publisher is putting a lot of effort into it, as it was immediately on the cover on its first appearance. As expected, it has already sold out at some online bookstores. Depending on the manga’s reputation, it could be made into an anime. In the former Johnny’s Entertainment group, NEWS’ Kato Shigeaki is also a novelist, but if it is made into an anime, it would be a first in the history of the former Johnny’s Entertainment group, and it is sure to spread beyond just Miyata’s fans.” Will Kawashima and Nakamura be the voice actors for the anime?
