Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. announced on the 3rd that it has established “KONAMI Animation” as a new organization to work on animation video production.
On this day, the first day of the large-scale event “Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters Duelist Legend QUATER CENTURY,” which commemorates the 25th anniversary of the Yu-Gi-Oh! The card game was held at Tokyo Dome, and new information about “Yu-Gi-Oh!” was announced.
An anime video commemorating the card game’s 25th anniversary has been released, featuring familiar monsters such as the Black Magician and the Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
This is the first anime work mainly produced by “KONAMI Animation,” it was unclear whether KONAMI Animation was a new division of Konami or a new animation production company. Still, after the event, it was officially announced. It was announced in the release that it was an in-house studio.
“KONAMI animation” has the tagline “KONAMI + KONAMI to ANIME.” We have poured all the CG technology, know-how, and production environment cultivated through game production into animation. It is an in-house studio that aims to evolve so-called Japanimation dynamically.
Utilizing the know-how we have cultivated in digital content production over the years, we plan to work on a wide range of projects without focusing solely on our own IP.
