‘Long Way North’ ‘Fantastic Story of Marona’ 2 nights continuous broadcast on E-tele

From January 28, NHK E-Tele will broadcast the overseas animations “Long Way North: The Top of the Earth” and “Marona’s Fantastic Story” for two consecutive nights (both works dubbed in Japanese).

France-Denmark collaboration “Long Way North Earth Top” (released in Japan 2019) is set in 19th century Russia, where aristocratic child Sasha heads for the North Pole in search of her missing grandfather. Adventure story. Produced with a unique visual without contour lines, it is also known to have been praised by Isao Takahata before it was released in Japan.

“Marona’s Fantastic Story” (20 years since its release in Japan) is a work that spins the life of Marona, a mixed dog with a heart-shaped nose, in an avant-garde image that fuses 2D and 3D. In the Japanese dubbed version, Non is in charge of the voice of the main character, Marona.

“Long Way North Earth’s Top” is at 12:50 midnight on January 28 (0:50 am on 29th), and “Fantastic Story of Marona” is at 12:55 midnight on 29th (30th morning). 0:55 * Broadcast starts from 1:42 am in the Chubu region).
