A hugely popular anime that will soon end
Book Supply Co., Ltd., which operates a reuse business selling books, CDs, DVDs, and video games, has announced the “Hot Top! Top 10 Manga Originals for Anime Fall 2025.” This ranking is based on sales figures from Book Supply’s official e-commerce site and user reviews, resulting in a unique score for popular manga.
From sequels to new works currently airing in the fall anime season, which original manga are garnering the most attention? Looking at the top 10 from the bottom up, we get “Nohara Hiroshi’s Lunch Style” (14 volumes published), “Blue Orchestra” (12 volumes published), “Material Collector’s Travels to Another World” (8 volumes published), “To Your Eternity” (25 volumes in total), “The Gluttonous Lady and the Mad-Blooded Duke” (10 volumes published), “A Star More Bright than the Sun” (12 volumes published), “Kingdom” (76 volumes published), “May I Make One Last Request?” (11 volumes published), ” SPY×FAMILY ” (15 volumes published), and “My Hero Academia” (42 volumes in total). “My Hero Academia” (original work by Kohei Horikoshi ), whose eighth and final season began airing on October 4th (Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV, every Saturday from 5:30 pm), topped the list, beating out “SPY×FAMILY” (original work by Tatsuya Endo ), whose third season, following the first and second seasons, is currently airing to rave reviews (TV Tokyo, every Saturday from 11:00 pm).
With the original manga now complete and the anime coming to an end soon, many readers have likely taken this opportunity to collect the entire manga. The top spot for a newly aired anime is “May I Make One Last Request?”, a light novel by Nana Ohtori and manga by Sora Honoki.
This thrilling story follows Scarlett Elle Vandimion, the daughter of a duke, nicknamed the “Ice Rose,” who enjoys punching people and stands up against corrupt aristocrats. Also ranked fifth was Kawahara Kazune’s shojo manga (the anime version airs every Thursday at 11:56 p.m.), a love story centered around Iwata Sakue, a girl who is a little stronger than average, and Kamishiro Mitsuteru, a weak boy who grows into a tall, refreshingly handsome man. Did any of your favorite manga or manga you’re interested in make it onto the list?
