A teaser visual and a teaser trailer were released alongside the announcement. It was also revealed that Naomi Ozora will play Narita Ito, and Toshiki Masuda will play Narita Gen, along with their comments.
“My Little Brothers Are Sorry,” a comedy about love under one roof (or will it be?) by Akira Ozaki, currently serialized in Shueisha’s Bessatsu Margaret, has sold over 2.8 million copies of its 14-volume manga.
The story begins during spring break at the end of her first year of high school, when Narita Ito’s mother remarries, leaving her suddenly with four younger brothers. Ito tries her best to get along with her new family, but the eldest brother, Gen, seems a bit unsociable. However, a gentleness begins to emerge beneath his calm demeanor… and so the story unfolds.
The TV anime will be directed by Hitoshi Nanba, with series composition by Megumi Shimizu, character designs by Shiori Hiraiwa and Yoko Fukushima, and animation by Lay-duce.
The cast also includes Naomi Ozora as Ito Narita, who suddenly becomes the older sister of four younger brothers after her mother remarries, and Toshiki Masuda as Gen Narita, the eldest son of the Narita family who doesn’t like to depend on others. A teaser trailer was released alongside the announcement, showcasing animation footage and voice acting from the cast.
The high-quality visuals by Lay-duce convey the excitement and warmth of family life in the animation. Ozora and Masuda also shared comments, and the original author, Akira Ozaki, contributed an illustration celebrating the anime adaptation. The TV anime, “Sorry About My Little Brothers,” will air in 2026.
