In episode 39, “Nico Evolution!”, Halloween approaches. While people and animals in costumes are going around Animal Town, Komugi (voice: Naganawa Maria) and Iroha (voice: Tanezaki Atsumi) are handing out sweets at home.
As Yuki (voice: Matsuda Hayate ), Yamayu (voice: Ueda Reina ), and classmates arrive and the party is bustling, Komugi sees someone dressed as a wolf and follows him. Komugi happily tells the “wolf” that she is also dressed as a wolf. However, the wolf only responds briefly and walks away quickly.
Komugi tries to chase after him further but eventually gets tired and turns back into a dog. The wolf takes her to a river, where she drinks water and calms down. She sees many animals approaching the wolf just by standing there and says they are just like Iroha. Then Iroha and her friends, who have been looking for Komugi, arrive. Then, a dark aura surrounds the wolf.
The motif of “Wonderful Pretty Cure!” is “animals,” and the theme is “bonds with animals. ” The critical phrase Iroha, who loves animals, is good friends with her pet dog Komugi. One day, they encounter a mysterious creature called Garugaru rampaging through the town. Komugi transforms into a human to protect Iroha and becomes a Pretty Cure. The story follows the two working together to return the animals to Nico Garden to save a heartbroken child.
