Ninja Kamui caused quite a sensation when it originally debuted online, thanks to its exciting and quick-paced hand-drawn action sequences. But as the show went on, it switched to three-dimensional mecha combat, which was less of a hit than a miss. Thankfully, the production has realized its error and is now reverting to the original idea that brought the show’s fame.

A teaser video for Ninja Kamui Episode 11, which will air on April 20, was just posted by Adult Swim. From the preview of the next episode, it seems like when the dramatic clash between Higan and Zai concludes, fans will at last be treated to some real ninja battles.

When the anime debuted the Gusoku Gears, which were mainly employed by ninjas connected to AUZA, criticism of the CGI-drawn mecha robots was first voiced. In contrast to the early part of the anime, there is a noticeable increase in 3D action when Higan eventually obtains one of these cutting-edge suits.

As was mentioned in the previous episode, Ninja Kamui’s CGI battle implementation has just never been able to match the level of coolness of the 2D action sequences. The audience remains engrossed in the hand-drawn action despite the considerable efforts made by the personnel at E&H Production to balance the transition change.

It would be prudent to state at this point that persuading audiences to give computer-generated imagery a chance would always be a challenging task, regardless of the advancements made in this field. However, Ninja Kamui has addressed this matter, and as the series nears its conclusion, it will be intriguing to watch how the narrative comes to a close.
