As part of the “All Japan Project [Children of the 47 Prefectures],” which is currently underway in preparation for the broadcast of the third season of the TV anime “My Favorite Child” (Oshi no Ko), new visuals for the Shikoku, Chugoku, Chubu, Hokkaido, and Okinawa regions have been released, bringing all 47 visuals to the public.
Furthermore, information has been released regarding participation in events such as “Machi Asobi Vol. 29,” which will be held in Tokushima City, Tokushima Prefecture on October 18th and 19th, “My Favorite Child” is a TV anime based on the manga by the renowned team of Akasaka Aka and Yokoyari Mengo, which was serialized in “Weekly Young Jump” and has sold over 20 million copies. It depicts the entertainment world from an entirely new perspective. One day, Goro, an obstetrician-gynecologist working in a provincial city, has a horrible encounter with Ai, his favorite idol from “B-Komachi,” who harbors a forbidden secret.
This unfolds as fate takes him. The first season of the anime aired from April to June 2023, sparking a huge popularity buzz. The second season, which aired from July to October 2024, focused on the future of Aqua, Kana Arima, and Akane Kurokawa, who were cast in a 2.5-dimensional stage adaptation of the series’ original work, “Tokyo Blade.”
The third season, which will take the story to a new stage, is scheduled to air in 2026. The “All Japan Project [Children of 47 Prefectures]” is a project aimed at promoting “Oshi no Ko” across Japan, featuring characters from the series inspired by each of Japan’s 47 prefectures. New illustrations have now been released, inspired by the Shikoku, Chugoku, Chubu, Hokkaido, and Okinawa regions.
This brings the total number of 47 mascots to be unveiled, including those from the Kanto, Tohoku, Kinki, and Kyushu regions, which were previously revealed. Furthermore, additional information has been released regarding plans to participate in festivals and events across the country, including the Aomori Nebuta Festival, the Sendai Tanabata Festival, and the Hakata Gion Yamakasa.
The mascot’s participation at Machi Asobi Vol. 29, to be held in Tokushima City, Tokushima Prefecture, on October 18th and 19th, will include a stage appearance by cast members, a museum exhibit featuring life-size figures, and merchandise for sale. A mascot greeting is also planned.
The Tokushima Odori Festa 2025, also to be held in Tokushima City, Tokushima Prefecture, on November 1st and 2nd, will feature a mascot parade and greeting event featuring six mascots on the 2nd. It has also been decided that the “Oshi no Ko Museum in Aichi” will be held at the Esca Event Space in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, from November 19th to 25th. In addition to museum exhibits such as life-size figures, merchandise using Chubu visuals will be sold, and there will be mascot greetings.
During this period, a stage event in Nagoya will also feature cast members, which is sure to capture the attention of fans. The third season of the TV anime “Oshi no Ko” will be broadcast in 2026.
