‘Ranma 1/2’ New anime episode 18 ‘The Return of Evil’ Happosai makes his first appearance and trains Ranma! The voice actor is Kazuhiko Inoue

Episode 18 of the all-new anime adaptation of Takahashi Rumiko’s hit manga “Ranma 1/2,” entitled “The Resurrection of Evil,” will be broadcast on Nippon Television late at night on November 8th. In episode 18, Happosai, the master of Tendo Soun and Saotome Genma, will make his first appearance. Voice actor Inoue Kazuhiko will play Happosai.

Episode 18 of the all-new anime series Ranma ½, entitled “The Resurrection of Evil,” will air on Nippon Television late at night on November 8th. In episode 18, Happosai, the master of Tendo Soun and Saotome Genma, makes his first appearance. Voice actor Kazuhiko Inoue will play Happosai.

One day, Soun and Genma’s master, Happosai, appears and offers to train Ranma as the successor to the original indiscriminate fighting style. Ranma tries to defeat Happosai, who acts as he pleases, but is no match for his overwhelming strength; he is told to “go and train as a warrior” and is banned from the Tendo household. Ranma devises a secret plan to get revenge, but something begins to change in Happosai’s behavior.

“Ranma ½” was serialized in the manga magazine “Weekly Shonen Sunday” (Shogakukan) from 1987 to 1996 by Takahashi, who is also known for “Urusei Yatsura” and “Maison Ikkoku.” The series depicts the hectic daily life of high school martial artist Ranma Saotome, who turns into a woman when splashed with water, and his fiancée, Akane Tendo.

While training in the indiscriminate fighting style with his father, Genma, Ranma, while training in the Chinese town of Jusenkyo, develops a unique condition that causes him to turn into a woman when splashed with water and revert to a man when splashed with hot water. Upon returning to Japan, Ranma and his son end up staying with Genma’s best friend, Soun Tendo, and by chance, he becomes engaged to Soun’s daughter, Akane.

The series is serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday. It depicts the hectic daily life of high school martial artist Saotome Ranma, who turns into a woman when splashed with water, and his fiancée, Tendo Akane.

The first season aired on Nippon Television from October to December 2024. The second season will air on the same station every Saturday at 12:55 a.m.
