Details of the broadcast and streaming of the TV anime “Champignon Witch” have been announced, with the series set to begin airing on TBS at 1:58 AM on Thursday, January 8, 2026, and on BS11 at 11:00 PM on Friday, January 9. A special promotional video has also been released, and it has been announced that Chiba Shoya will play Henri.
This work is an anime adaptation of the manga of the same name, currently serialized in “Manga Park” (Hakusensha) by Higuchi Tachibana, known for works such as “Gakuen Alice.” It is a magical fantasy story about Luna (voiced by Shiraishi Haruka), the “Mushroom Witch” who has the unique ability to grow poisonous mushrooms, and the people around her.
In conjunction with this announcement, it has been announced that the first episode on TBS and BS11 will be a one-hour special, airing the first and second episodes back-to-back. The first episode will depict the events leading up to Luna meeting Lize (voiced by Sakakibara Yuki). The series will be available for streaming on d Anime Store and Hulu from 3:00 AM on Thursday, January 8, and will be released on other platforms in due course.
A special promotional video has also been released, which features the opening theme song “Wizard’s Diary” by Ross for the first time, as well as dramatic footage of Luna interacting with Lize and Anri.
Furthermore, the fourth batch of character and cast information has revealed that Chiba Shoya will play Henri. Henri is a beautiful boy whom Luna happens to see in town, described as having a sharp mind and good looks, but also a bit of a scatterbrain. Along with the cast announcement, a campaign has been launched on the official X website where you can win an autographed illustration card by Chiba.
