“Dandadan” is an occult battle and coming-of-age story based on the manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, which is currently serialized on Shueisha’s manga magazine app “Shonen Jump+” and has sold over 10 million copies. Momo, a high school girl born into a family of psychics, and her classmate Okarun, an occult enthusiast, encounter an overwhelming supernatural phenomenon beyond comprehension. They gain hidden powers and curses after experiencing them, and become entangled in a fateful love affair.
The first season of the TV anime, starring Shion Wakayama as Momo (Ayase Momo) and Natsuki Hanae as Okarun (Takakura Ken), aired to great acclaim from October to December 2024. Abel Gongora will serve as director alongside Yamashiro Fuuga for the second season, with Science SARU continuing to handle animation production.
