Dr. Stone is a TV anime set thousands of years after a mysterious phenomenon suddenly occurs, turning all of humanity to stone in an instant. Senku, a young scientist with a superhuman brain, awakens and uses his genius scientific powers to challenge the Stone World, where civilization has been destroyed.
The original manga, written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi, was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from issue 14 of 2017 to issue 14 of 2022, and won second place in the comics category of the Next Manga Awards 2018 and the Shogakukan Manga Award for boys. The comics have sold a total of over 19 million copies.
The TV anime series began with its first season in July 2019, followed by a second season in 2021, a TV special in 2022, and a third season in 2023, which will be split into two parts. The fourth and final season, “Dr. Stone Science Future,” will be divided into three seasons, and the story will continue from the first season, which aired from January to March 2025. As the evil hand of Stanley’s forces closes in, Senku and his friends from the Kingdom of Science continue to spread the light of science and finally approach the core of the petrification device, “Medusa.”
Episode 13: “Looking at the Same Moon” Synopsis After a battle with the Xeno army, Senku and the others from the Kingdom of Science are captured by the Perseus. However, Chrome and his friends succeed in capturing Xeno. Senku entrusts Corn City to Nicky and his friends, and while evading Stanley’s fierce pursuit, they head for South America, the place where the petrification ray originates. Senku teams up with his former scientific mentor, Zeno, to uncover the mysteries of the petrification ray and the moon.
The two most powerful scientists on Earth pool their knowledge to uncover the true nature of the dreaded light. Before the Broadcast, the film premiered in two countries on the same day for the first time in history at Anime Expo 2025 in Los Angeles, USA, and Japan Expo Paris 2025 in Paris, France, on July 5 (local time).
As the film was being held on the same day, the Senku & Zeno team and Ryusui were separated, with Kobayashi Yusuke and Nojima Kenji appearing at the North American premiere at Anime Expo 2025 and Suzuki Ryota appearing at the European premiere at Japan Expo Paris 2025. Local fans who flocked to the venues were enthusiastic about the stage greeting and the preview screening of the second season that followed. The long-awaited second cour of the final season of the anime “Dr.STONE” has excited North American and European fans.
