“Chi.” Production Information
The story is set in a particular European country in the 15th century. At a time when the geocentric theory, which holds that the Earth is the center of the universe and the planets revolve around it, was considered the truth of the world, and believing or researching anything that contradicted this theory was a serious crime, the child prodigy Rafal learned of the possibility of the heliocentric theory through the words of the enigmatic scholar Hubert. Those around him described him as a genius, and even considered himself one; however, an uncontrollable, intense intellectual curiosity began to blossom within him. “What on earth must I sacrifice to learn everything about this world?” he asks, risking his own “knowledge,” “blood,” and even his own life to prove the heliocentric theory. What fate awaits Rafal?
