Additional characters and their cast for the TV anime ” Hana wa Saku, Gotoku Shura,” based on the original work by Takeda Ayano and Mushu, have been announced.
“Hana wa Saku, Gotoku Shura” is a coming-of-age story about Kana, who lives on a small island with a population of 600, joining the broadcasting club at her high school and deepening her love of reading aloud with her friends.
Characters from rival schools and their cast include Kimura Taihi as Nishino Rengo, a third-year student at Chizuru High School and the head of the broadcasting club; Aoyama Yoshino as Minohara Mukan, a third-year student at Otowa High School who placed second in the announcing department at the N-Con Kyoto Tournament; and Kakuma Ai as Botanboko Poko, a third-year student at Lilac Girls’ Academy High School and a talented performer who placed first in the reading category at the N-Con Kyoto Tournament.
Additionally, Koga Aoi will play Karen, a first-year student at Lilac Girls’ High School. Sekine Akira will play Hiiragiya Mitsuka, a second-year student at the same school; Ichinose Kana will play Kumo Misaki, a first-year student at Otowa High School, and Kohara Yoshimi will play Hayashi Chiaki, a third-year student at Chizuru High School who placed third in the announcing category at the N-Con Kyoto tournament.
The synopsis and preview for episode 8, “Satisfaction and Incomplete,” which will air on February 25th, have also been released. In episode 8, Kana and friends go to see Shura’s play, and Fuyuga struggles to write the music for a piece to be submitted to the drama category.
