It has been announced that the final chapter of the anime series, ” My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON,” will air every Saturday at 5:30 p.m. starting October 4. Additionally, the key visual has been released, and a special project leading up to the broadcast has also commenced.
“My Hero Academia” (commonly known as “Boku No Hero Academia”), a hugely popular comic by Kohei Horikoshi that was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” (published by Shueisha) for 10 years from 2014 to 2024, is a hero action story set in a world where the existence of people with supernatural abilities called “quirks” is commonplace.
The story follows the protagonist, Izuku Midoriya, commonly known as “Deku”, as he grows up with his friends at U.A. High School, a prestigious school for training heroes, to become a “hero” who protects society and confronts criminals who abuse their “quirks”, known as “villains”.
The key visual for this episode, drawn by Yoshihiko Umakoshi, the character designer for the anime “My Hero Academia,” and produced by Bones Film, is based on the catchphrase, “This is the story of how we became the greatest heroes.” It depicts Deku powerfully raising his fist at Shigaraki, as well as All Might putting on his armored suit and facing off against All For One.
In the run-up to the broadcast, a special project titled “My Hero Academia The Animation: Character ‘s ULTIMATE SCENE RANKING” will be held in which fans and viewers will vote to rank the best scenes for each of the 42 characters, both heroes and villains, from seasons 1 to 7 of the TV anime.
A special website for voting and a dedicated YouTube channel featuring all eligible scenes have been launched, marking a unique project that allows viewers to not only watch each scene to vote, but also enjoy revisiting the season so far. The voting page is available in both Japanese and English, allowing voters to participate not only from within Japan but also from overseas.
