by A separate volume series, “Cat’s Eye COMPLETE DVD BOOK,” containing the TV anime “Cat’s Eye,” will be released in 4 volumes from September 22nd.
The work is based on the manga of the same name by Tsukasa Hojo, known for “City Hunter.” Three sisters who run a coffee shop are portrayed as the hidden face of the phantom thief group Cat’s Eye, stealing artworks vividly. It was made into a TV animation from 1983 to 1985, and three sisters of Cat’s Eye appeared as guests in the “Theatrical version of City Hunter Shinjuku Private Eyes” released in 2019.
The DVD book contains all 36 episodes of the 1st series (Phase 1), and Volume 1 includes episodes 1 to 9. A 16-page booklet is also included, and in addition to commentary on each story, production materials such as original drawings, setting pictures, and storyboards are also posted. The price of one volume is 1870 yen (tax included).
