This is the latest TV anime series of the mysterious contract tale “Natsume’s Book of Friends.” Yuki Midorikawa’s original work (serialized in Hakusensha’s “LaLa”) has sold over 17 million copies in Japan.

Natsume Takashi, a boy who has been able to see youkai since he was a child, inherits his grandmother Reiko’s legacy, the “Book of Friends,” and spends his days returning names to the youkai whose names are bound to it together with his self-proclaimed bodyguard Nyanko-sensei. Through his interactions with Youkai and the people involved, Natsume begins to search for his path, and with the help of his friends who share his feelings, he tries to find a way to protect his precious days.

In the special broadcast, the key visual of the main character, Natsume Takashi, and his partner Nyanko-sensei was unveiled for the first time amid beautiful autumn leaves reminiscent of the autumn when the series was broadcast.

A video message from the two will also be released during the broadcast.
