The movie “Kitaro’s Birth: The Mystery of Gegege” will hold a limited-time collaboration event with Seibuen Amusement Park, “Gegege no Yuenchi,” from October 15. Details of the event have been announced.

Kitaro’s Birth: The Mystery of Gegege,” an entirely new movie commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of manga artist Shigeru Mizuki, is a feature-length work based on the sixth season of the TV anime and depicts the origin story of the series related to “Kitaro’s birth.” It describes the encounter between Kitaro’s father, the former Medama Oyaji, and the human Mizuki, and the fate that the two face, and won the Excellence in Animation Award at the 47th Japan Academy Awards.

A particular version of the film, “Kitaro’s Birth: The Mystery of Gegege, Real Version,” which has brushed up the video and sound, is scheduled to be released on October 4. The “real version” retakes 327 cuts, restoring the horror scenes envisioned at the storyboard stage.

In addition, the sound was re-dubbed to express “the horror story that the production team originally envisioned.” “GeGeGe no Kitaro” comes to Seibuen Amusement Park. Investigate the strange events occurring at Seibuen Amusement Park! Guests receive a letter from an anonymous resident of the Yuhinooka Shopping Arcade asking them to “investigate the incidents occurring in a certain town’s shopping arcade.” Guests will investigate the incident with Mizuki and Kitaro’s father using clues scattered around the park.

Those who solve the case will be presented with a “novelty card” (2 types/random). On sale at the sweet shop Yumemido.
