Its live-action adaptations in 2019 and 2021 and the conclusion of ‘The Fable: The Second Contact’ in 2021 have only heightened its popularity. Now, ‘The Fable’ is about to embark on the Utsubo arc, a fan-favorite in the original work.
This time, new cast members who will voice the members of the Taihei Credit Agency have been announced. Fujima Hideo will play Utsubo Rei, the biggest enemy in this episode, who is trusted by the local community on the surface but is overprotected and produces weak young people on the inside, squeezing money out of their parents. Anzai Chika will play Sawa Hinako, a clerk and secretary at the credit agency who lost hope due to a past incident and is forced to live like a doll.
Takehito Koyasu plays Suzuki Hiroshi, a veteran assassin with 20 years of experience who is Utsuho’s partner and takes on the dirty work. Yoshihiro Kanemitsu plays Izaki Tsutomu, a new employee at the detective agency, a former member of the Makuro gang, and a former brother of Kuroshio.
